no...what im getting at is that the only reason that your religion thinks the homosexual acts are sin is because they cannot create a life...why limit it to homosexuals...why not toss in some sterile men and women..they cannot create a life...and as far as pro-homosexual behavior...i can one up you on that...nothing that you can quote or say will have validity in my eyes on that subject...im kind of an expert in that dept...so propogation is the only motivation..whatever to define the reason for this particular sin?

Nope. Not the only reason. Do you really want to know all the reasons the Catholic Church teaches homosexual acts are sinful? I can probably come up with a complete list...or you could go to the link I posted earlier and read them on your own.

as do gay people...love...caring...a life together...how is that different than a hetro couple? i dont' think the fact that not being able to propogate the species is a valid reason for sin...as you stated..its not the only one...but it is a defining factor in a reason for the sin...unless you want to get into the nasties of it all...im sure that there are some christians out there with a few basement props...

you probably could come up with a list...none that would in my eyes be a reasonable justification for condeming or labeling the act as a sin...just as my reasons...love..caring...a life together...a loving family...would be a reason for you to not consider it a sin...

the whole gay thing is a mess anyway when judged by christianitys standards...they hate it..yet most of the nasty scandels have tainted the catholic church lately with preist after priest being accused or coming out admitting to child molestation...its a shame that god loving homosexuals are put in the same catagory as these sexual predators...they just get shipped away to another parish...gay folks get the stigma of a sinner...*sigh*

Really? 1st I had ever heard of this.

Some of the pedophile priests were wrongly shipped away in hopes of hiding their disgusting behavior (I assume we can agree pedophile behavior is disgusting?) instead of being defrocked and punished to the full extent of the law. I can assure you that is it my personal experience that all the priests who engaged in this horrific behavior are definitely considered to have committed moral sin, a grave matter, indeed.

 

On a lighter note, 'Defrocked' is one of the best words ever typed on this forum.

Of course you don't hate them. Your religion forbids you to. I don't even think test was trying to say that you hates homosexuals. That isn't to say that you still label homosexuals as sinners. You're basically saying "What you're doing is wrong, but I don't hate you for it." The message stays the same. Try again.

The reality is, I accept the Teachings of the Catholic Church. You want parlay that into a flaw of some kind. I consider the Teachings of the Catholic Church to be a Blessing, a Real Gift from God, the Father.

 

i was mostly speaking from my own experiences and conversations that i have had with some very devout and stubborn christians...btw...you never answered some of my questions...
