    There is supposedly a demo coming soon also.. ARMA I demo doesent work very well.. :lol:

    Been following this game as well. Visually stunning, but according to a couple of beta testers that have posted, you're going to need a monster of a machine. Now it could be just the beta release that's buggy and needs to be optimized or that it's the real deal. When the demo is released I'll download it and give it a try.

    One thing that I find interesting is that it's about a 225sq mile 'area' that the game supports. And that you can customize missions. AI is pretty good from what I hear. It's going to be realistic too. So if you need a medic, you better hope that you have a medic in your squad or that the medevac team is on their way. It's going to promote realistic warfare too. So no bunny hopping, spray-n-pray kiddies here. Use concealment and cover. Only run across open ground when you absolutely have to. Which are all things that I have been looking for in an FPS.

    Aye been looking for the same.

    I will wait on the demo before popping the cashola down hopefully we will see the demo soon. :D

    Just dropped on p2p networks. I dont think my computer will handle it very well.... looks awesome though i might spend some money on new cpu/mobo/ram to play.

    There also seems to be a problem with the full 1.01 version of the game, where the studio have partly removed functionality to turn Motion Blur off. However, a user has made a No Blur Mod to help stop it and the Bloom effects as well.

    Simply download it and follow the instructions.

    I get a wierd DX error when I installed the game. Fix says to reboot the PC, but I read it just as the family was walking in from work/school. Have a raid tonight so I will have to look into it after.

    So this game is ok, it has potential. But it lacks a major amount of polish. :(

    Which is sad because didn't it release to retail today?

    As I recall Operation Flashpoint was a bit of a trainwreck at release, but got better as time went on..

    I downloaded the demo but didn't install it last night because you guys sounded like you were having big problems with it..

    The Russians are a pretty good substitute, and you can always fire up Operation Flashpoint if you want more eastern european ethnic groups :p

    I had to reinstall the latest DirectX release to get the game going. Once I did though I went through the training missions. It's a little clunky as Hamma said. Did not go through the online missions, but I plan to next week.
