T2 .vl2 files

    I forgot... where do they go?

    Tribes Next works out of the box on my system too! Felt like I never left.

    I only wish I could find the old Construction Mod for the game.. that was a fun way to do much of nothing.

    I think they go in they Dynamix/Tribes2/base file.
    Going straight off of memory here, so don't quote me.
    And if I got that right, please raise my geekcred to "super awesome".

    I will give that a try.. there is a base and a classic folder there, so I may have to try both.

    I think I might have found the old forum that is still active for the construction mod.

    :edit:

    Yeah, that was it Sent... had I bothered to go that far into the folder tree, I would have seen all of the default .vl2 files in there :p

    The last thing I am trying to do now is change the default Classic mod "player hit" sound: the ricochet sound that is triggered when you hit an opponent with a projectile.

    I somehow used to swap either a line of script code, or swapped out the .wav file.. can't find either at the moment in the game folders. :eek:

    I'm too old to remember... :rawr:

    I think you'll find all those files in the ...\base\audio.vl2 file (open with ZIP) in the fx section under weapon (chaingun_impact.wav for example). Hope that helps - :D

    I figured it out.. got the .wav filed switched to something a little easier on the ear.

    Hey! I was in a pub earlier! It was crazy how bad I played! :D

    Oh hey! Do we have Dragonwolves skins?
