IR Tracking for Pilots (Suit up!)

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Shewolf, 30 Sep 2012.

  1. I have thought about using these in the past for BF2/3/2142 and PS1 Piloting but PS1 was before it's time and I didn't play BF1-5 enough to buy it, but this game seems like it will be sucking my soul away for the next 20 years..so Im tempted to buy it..

    Whatca think ? :D

  2. Natural point says they've already supplied SOE with what they need to implement TrackIr support. I remember hearing Higby say that they're interested in fitting it in if they can.

I hope they can find time to work it into the game.

  3. I'm guessing you only need to slightly turn your head to get the POV to turn 75 degrees or so in-game. Otherwise, how the heck are you supposed to see your screen when you've turned your head to the right or left? Seems more useful to get three monitors, but pricier, I'm sure.

  4. You're correct FrothyMug. The scaling is adjustable. The only weird thing is that you have to keep your eyes trained on the monitor, while your head swivels.

  5. Yes, its exaggerated motion that makes it work so well, one little shift or turn and you have it down. Ive tried a friend of mines in ARMA II in a heli and once you try it, your hooked. I honestly don't know how im piloting right now without it :D

  6. Mescaline and peyote is my guess.
