    Real Name: Carl
    In Game Name: Crawl
    Age: 34
    Offspring: 2 Males, 6 and 3.
    Location on Earth: NE Wisconsin
Occupation: Network / Systems Engineer / Farmer
About Me: I'm a network / systems engineer for a small health care facility in NE WI, and also farm with my Old Man. I have two boys, soon to be 6 and 3 and I am divorced (so a part time single parent). My hobbies are gaming, phone hacking / modding, and trying to figure out how to actually be a good father. It seems no one really wrote a manual for this or the ones that tried don't seem to have any clue how your kids act.

Gaming Experience: I've played a lot of games. The one I spent the most time in was WoW where I was pretty much always a Warrior Tank. I went through a lot of Guilds, 99% of the time because somehow the Guild blew up due to political and or social issues (which tend to combine for an extra special Guild imploding event). I tend to remove myself from these phenomenon as much as possible because they quite simply never work to add anything to a team, they only work to create pretend boundaries that for the most part when examined don't actually exist.

I also helped lead a group of friends in WoW in Raiding but that team fell apart when quite simply abilities made it impossible to progress and trying to replace friends in a group becomes more problematic than in it is worth IRL. However some of my favorite game play experiences were in Quake CTF (yes Quake CTF). I played with some guys I worked with and it more than anything was extremely challenging (must faster game play, more dynamic, even more boring at times). And frankly much more like PS2.

Teamwork (and what I bring): The concept of teamwork is rather simple. It is putting the WANTS of yourself below the NEEDS of a team, and I think I pretty much live that both in life and what I've done in game. In life while working if there is something that needs to be done, and it isn't "my job", I do it. Because frankly it doesn't matter if some piece of paper or policy states something isn't my problem if it needs to be done it needs to be done. In game the same thing applies.

Playing a tank my entire career in WoW it doesn't matter if some DPS screwed up and didn't wait for 3 sunders (back in the day), it doesn't matter that in some PUG some FireCrack Mage decides to open up without thinking, getting agro back is all that matters because that in the end would keep the group and thus the team alive. In Quake CTF, if there is a flag, and you volunteered to defend it, it didn't matter if everyone else was out there "having fun" killing other people, if your job was the defend the flag and no one ever showed up, that was still your job and the team relied on that knowing someone was back there just in case.

So in closing on this, I can lead a group, but that is only because I can listen and be part of a group, and because of that take orders effectively. Turning back to WoW there were a lot of self-centered idiot tanks that really felt that OBVIOUSLY knew everything because I am the tank I call the shots. When in reality, that is exactly what a leader and team member shouldn't do. Everyone has input, everyone has a perspective, and when you combine them all together, that is the true reality.

Closing: I hope you will seriously consider me for an addition to the DragonWolves Team and Family. I can't say I will be able to make every single operation due to being a single parent every other week. But I can certainly say, that when I say I will be there, I will be there, and when I show up I will be there for the Team and Family of DragonWolves. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

I thank you all for the opportunity to take part in an op. I enjoyed it and look forward to many more. Sorry I had no idea where 1200 was on the Lib and I was pretty much unsure what I was shooting at.

  11. So... I'm dying to know... Is the name Crawl coupled with the fact that you're a farmer a reference to the Paulie Shore movie "Son in Law"? :D

There are a few different ways I got it actually. But what made it stick is one time a me and a few budies were going to Dairy Queen. Right before we left some animals got out of their designated area, were wandering the county, and I had to help get them back in. Well not thinking much of my shoes being full of mud and POSSIBLY other things, I walked in right as this employee was finishing mopping the floors.

I felt bad so I went and asked if I could use the mop to clean up my mess when the young lady started basically screaming "WHY DON'T YOU JUST CRAWL OUT OF HERE" over and over. And that pretty much was the solidification of it!
