Applying for Tribes 2 division

Discussion in 'The Dragon Wolves Recruitment Forum' started by Thrundr, 28 Mar 2005.

  1. CDL Command,
My name is Josh, my alias in game is Thrundr. I was once a Captain in Clan 8m for Tribes 1. I specialize in sniping, piloting, and defense networks. I have been out for a while and would like to continue to hone my defense network and piloting skills, sniping is an ever on going process.
I left 8m because of the unprofessionalism and refusal of recruits to follow commands. The chaotic lack of strategy was very unpleasant. I have since been unable to find a clan that I feel both remembers that the game is a game, yet takes strategy seriously. I see that in this clan.
I have learned tricks to sniping that I have seen very few implement in game, unfortunately for them ;). I would like to learn new skills and share what I know. I do have my specialties but do not restrict myself to those. I understand the CDL is not large in Tribes 2 any longer, maybe that can change.
In my offline life, I am an Undercover Loss Prevention Agent, where I must remain covert and observe potential theifs, and detain them. I also do SCA. I have learned alot about the Vikings and apply their warfare mentality to game play. Fierce, relentless, ruthless but not without honor. It seems that CDL has a similar view and I would like to participate in your clan.
If you'd like to know more, feel free to ask. My email is JoshReiki@yahoo.com. I look forward to gaming with you all.

    Thrundr, a.k.a. Josh

I don't believe CDL even has a presence in the game anymore....

We're currently active in World of Warcraft, DAoC, and Planetside. We're looking at beginning a Battlefield2 division soon also.

  3. thanks anyway then

Well, I appreciate you letting me know. Can you recommend any other clans for Tribes 2?

I used to be with the Ghostbears, but I'm not 100% sure they are still operating a T2 division. I wish I could help you out. Perhaps someone else here could point you in the right direction.

I will say that, since I came over to the Dragonwolves, no matter what game is played here, there is no single greater place for fun, companionship and friendly atmosphere than CDL. I've met some great people here; people I will consider my friends for life. We all get along here. There is no political infighting. No one jockying for position. No backstabbing. Nothing you could see with other clans or guilds. I have enjoyed my time with the Dragonwolves and probably won't be looking for another tribe/clan/guild. This may sound cliche, but we have a saying here; welcome to the last clan you'll ever join.

Even though we do not have an active T2 division, you may want to check out some things in regards to our Battlefield 2 division that is forming up soon. EA.com has a nice writeup on the game, along with some videos and in-game screenshots. Take a look at that and, if you are interested, express your interest in gaming with us in BF2.

Do I sound like a military recruiter or what?

  5. Nope. Just someone who likes where they are.

    I agree.

I too was a Ghostbear with Sentrosi. I must say that is a great group of people, however I don't think they play T2 much anymore. The Ghostbear site is www.ghostbear.tv You can ask them. I think they have a T:V group right now. I think some even play Tribes 1 often.

  7. People still play T2?

Geez, I need the name of their drug dealer (yes I am bitter and burned out but I suspect Hamma has the same kind of resentment I do).
