    That does look like a really cool game. They are calling it an MMORPG but it sounds more action oriented. I'll definitely keep my eye on this one.

    me, ouro and indy were looking at screenies and movies of this game, it looks awsome, definetely gonna play it, even if its just to look at the pretty graphics engine :O

    The combat looks a little dull from what they have shown (Guys standing opposite on a beach hitting each other with swords and watching numbers come out of their heads).

    Next weekend is the UK debut of the game at the London Movie Comic Media (MCM) Expo, so I'll be heading to that for various reasons.

    I'll see if I can get some better information from there and some screenies.

    I'm assuming that a few people from every major gamesite on the planet were there yesterday as well, but both IGN and Gametrailers have their own copy of the video I picked up today. You can see Episode 1 of RF Online's story at either of these.

    I also have some artwork they were showing that were exclusive to the expo, however, so I've hosted them for you to see on the thread. They'll probably be up tomorrow, but since I'm such a nice guy you get to see them now!     They're calling it an MMORPG. Reading the site FAQ, to me it looks like a another version of WoW. I can see no references in the FAQ that equate it to Planetside.

    Strictly speaking it depends on which site you look at. When IGN did an interview a couple of months ago with CCR (the game's primary developer) they equated it as MMO with a similar style of gameplay as PlanetSide, but it also has RPG elements in the forms of the storyline and resource-management. Other sites look at it more as a MMORPG at the core; something they also did with Neocron which was also far from the case.

    From what I gather, however, RF Online going to be an online FPS and, given the amount of these time-delayed games being in the majority (I speak of WoW as an example), I don't see any problem with that.

    Hrm, from what videos I could find, the game is not an FPS. It reminds me of a mix between Lineage 2 and WoW.
