  1. My father and I just went through the order through Newegg for my X-mas gift this year: A spiffy new gaming machine!

ABIT KN8 Ultra Socket 939 NIVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard

    SeaSonic S12-430 ATX12V 430W Power Supply
Corsair ValueSelect 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model VS512MB400
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor Model ADA3200BPBOX
    Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 300MB/s Hard Drive
NEC Beige 1.44MB 3.5" Floppy Drive - OEM (combo special with the hard drive- we get it for free with it)
LITE-ON Beige IDE DVD Burner Model SOHW-1693S OEM (with a 30-pack DVD-R combo)

for the grand total of $828.93 (not including shipping)

    Whaddya think?

  2. Very nice and good bang for the buck.

Now, start saving for the other 512 of mem. ;) Be sure to buy the exact same one again. Mem does not like to be mixed and matched. Rather, computers do not like it.

  3. Absolutely. I forgot to write down how many of what we bought-- looking over the list, we did infact buy two of 'em. I mean, otherwise the DDR would be useless!

    I think it's almost time for me to get rid of my old PC and get a new one. Currently I have;

    MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum 939
    3200+ A64
    1024Mb DDR PC3500 OCZ
    (2) 120Gb SATA in RAID 0 config
    GeForce 6600GT AGP
    NEC 3500 DVD Burner
    52x16x52 CD Burner
    CoolerMaster Praetorian Silver Aluminum Case

I'd probaly sell it all for around $800 w/out the OS.
