Most of us are Caldari Draconis, but in the end it doesn't matter which race you pick quite frankly..

 

Don't get me started.. that last 'Dragon' patch fubar'd everything for me.. then I had to deal with their support guys.. "Yes my router is fine and I can ping your servers ok.. coincidentally this ALL started happening after you 'patched' the game, just an fyi there.."

A lot of people have problems logging into the game now, crashing to desktop, and other assorted weirdness.. They even closed my original petition and sent me to the back of a very long line waiting for answers..

At this point, apparently they're doing another patch today (Thursday) to try and correct all the crap that's gone on with the last one. Unfortunately there's no guarantee it'll fix my problem, and they've got until my next billing cycle comes around to get it straightened out. No way I'm paying to beta test their IT department asking me stupid questions all day long.

My favourite "bug" that I've heard of so far, is with all the covert ops guys.. When they go to cloak their ship, they see it cloak but no one else does.. So basically you're invisible only to yourself.. I imagine they lost more cloaked ships a day or two after the patch than they did since releasing tier two ships. CCP really bunged this patch up..

But yes, I'm still active in EVE, technically. I just can't get in.. Pity really because my corp is looking for new members, as KOS is going through a bit of a re-org, trying to consolidate smaller corps into larger ones. Our corp is exempt, but I think the guys are looking for a few more people to make sure we stay exempt.

I guess we'll see tomorrow if the patch addresses my issue..

 

Make things better I think.. It was primarily supposed to make ME and 98 obsolete as operating systems that can run EVE. It caused a ton of problems for a lot of people though..
The did do a patch today but backed off the big one they were promising. Hopefully that allows me to login again, but apparently they may have fixed a few small problems but created a whole bunch more..

Not sure what's going on exactly but EVE seems to be a bit of a mess atm.

 

For what its worth, I managed to get back into EVE again, by installing XP on my MAC.. Sad really.. I'm sure karma will pay me back for that one in spades..

So if any of you are hanging in there starting out and need any help, let me know (Anarion in game).

For Aeternus: Your buddies in ASCN have apparently built the games first Titan, and there are now rumours of a huge border war in the south as BoB is potentially thinking of going after them now. There've already been a lot of skirmishes between the two as BoB tried to shut down production of the titan in the first place.

I can't imagine the costs in involved in setting up dummy stations and everything else involved in hiding their construction project
