    You guys check this out yet? It's a mod for BF2 (and a whopper at 1.6gigs). I played a little and it seems interesting. Doesn't seem to be enough people playing, though. I thought you may be interested.

    The mod changes things to make the game feel more realistic. There are no crosshairs for your gun, no ammo indicator, etc... Seems like it is pretty well put together.

    I tried it out... doesn't seem extremely different than BF2. I doubt I'll keep playing; I just get frustrated after I walk for 5 minutes to get somewhere and then someone snipes me.

    Yeah well in an FPS you're always gonna have someone who wants to snipe -- they're not brave or skilled enough to do anything else.

    I'd argue the point that a good sniper IS good at what they do. It's the noobsauces who sit and camp a spawn point that give snipers a bad name. Shads, back in the day, could snipe a dime off of a water tower at 2 miles.

    He could pick off any flag carrier in Tribes as well :eek:

    I couldn't stand doing the whole offensive sniper stuff in Tribes..... I felt so dirty..... That is why I was strictly a defensive sniper and only ventured out of the that zone when the flag had been snatched.

    Donkey was one of the best Def snipers. I used to love knowing he was out there in those big maps.
