Who Pre-Ordered LotRO?

    Out of curiosity, what's the draw to the game (other than Tolkien lore) overall? I mean to get Hamma to play it must be different than WoW in ways :p but it looks very similar.
    PvE, no PvP (at least pvp like other MMOs), what happens when you hit your peak level? etc etc..

    I mean it looks nice and all, but I guess its hard to tell from their website what makes the game stand out, and be continually fun to play.

    For me the Lore is good enough. But overall the game tries (and succeeds imo) to immerse you in the world of Middle Earth. Besides the regular questing, which is similar to most MMOs, you can search out Lore items such as ancient ruins and particular sites of interest to gain traits that increase your natural abilities. These can be assigned by a Bard you find in larger towns. The traits are interchangeable and can be set for desired results within solo or party needs.

    Instances are unique to quests and cannot be repeatedly farmed - if you do not have the corresponding quest, you can't get in. (I like this feature.)

    Trade skills are well developed and interesting. They are dependant upon other skills making for a fairly good economy.

    Kinship traits are earned as your kinship grows in size and age. (Neat one here too.)
