Parabellum Beta

Parabellum is an Unreal-powered MMOFPS bult by ACONY Games:



It's a free-reign, "go anywhere, do anything" game where you join one of two factions (the CTF or the Syndicate); both supplied support by the CIN, a global network of mercenaries. Instead of just objective-based gameplay, people can fight through entire cities as individuals or in groups, changing the nature of the environment to their advantage:



This game reminds me a lot of project called ENTROPY: the mod a small group I was part of tried years ago, with some of them based in Germany (it may even be the same project), but because it was going to cost money and time we didn't have, we had to abandon it.

At the moment their website is doing a closed beta with Fileplanet, and there aren't many keys left so you better sign up fast! They haven't released a link yet for Fileplanet, so I suggest you use the link on the main page of the gamesite. You can also download their trailer here.

Fileplanet just said that Parabellum has gone open beta right?

Of course there's a catch, a big one. First you have to make an account with one of the worst sites ever when it comes to security. Then you have to download their game client and redeem a code Fileplanet provide you with to finally unlock the game once you've downloaded it... I just don't know WTF is wrong with developers these days. Why can't FP simply do it all themselves instead of going through a shitty third-party. It also gives me access to games 1) I've never heard of and 2) don't want to play. I can't even use the code because the site doesn't work properly.

I'm getting them to cancel the account I've just made. If it's this stupid just to play a beta, I might as well wait until its finished.
