It was a really Cool looking dog, and bigger then dogs should be allowed to get!!

When I first got the dog I was 9, and Bean and I would play this "fight" game where you sort push the dog with your foot and she would try and bite by feet (not hard. we were just playing). Well this dog was so big, that it would grab onto my pant leg, pull me off the couch, and then literally drag me down the hall!!!!

When it got about half way down the hall it would let go, let me get a few feet away, tackle me, and then drag me back down the hall!!

She died when I was 17, and at the time she could stand on her hind legs, put her paws on my shoulders and look me in the eye. Mind you that i am 6' 2" so you have to be pretty big to look me in the eye, much less being a dog and doing it!!!

You want a god awful looking dog, that would have been my sister's Rotwiller/Giant Poodle mix.

  2. I am a dog person, but in an apartment, I just don't have the time it takes to care for a dog. I do however have a cat. His name is Trevor, he is a gray tabby. This cat has more personality than any other I have ever seen. I wouldn't say he is the most friendly cat in the world...actually he's quite the bastard. But it can be really funny. All in all he is a great cat, and has his really sensitive moments. I love him.

  3. cats...

are great, but I must admit that sometimes I do find them lacking. I love all animals (I have seriouse problems with people who hurt animals for any reason but to put them out of their missery if they are mortally wounded) and while cats and dogs hold a special place in my heart, dogs definatly have te advantage of loyalty, and playability (ever tried to wrestle a cat? I havent, nor do I intend to).

  4. HAHAHA...I wrestle my cat, and he wrestles back...so what if he can't ever win...that's what makes it so funny. Sometimes when I'm on my way out the door for work or something like that, my cat will hide behind a wall, and as I leave my room, going into the living area, he will jump and grab on to my leg and squeeze, and I just drag him behind me for a ways. It's awesome! A few Christmas ago I had tree, and he would hide up in it and jump out at me when I walked by. He's funny.

I will never forget how he used to torment my ex-girlfriend, she would be laying on the sofa watching T.V....here Trevor would sneak up behind the sofa, then jump up on the armrest and bat her in the forhead with his paw, then he'd run off...LOL! I loved that.

  5. LOL

My cat is similar to pete's.. he has quite a personality. You can pick him up and he will rest on your shoulder for quite a while... just sit there like a kid. He owns :D

  7. My cat definately has a personality. She's a silver tabby and has to be the most beautiful cat I've ever seen. Well she follows me around the house, but never wants attention. In fact she usually doesn't like being petted and hates being held. She never makes any noise, unless she's running after the toy mouse I threw for her. She's appropriately named Shadow.

She has some odd eating habits too. While she'll eat anything meat (no seafood) or dairy, she'll also eat corn, lettuce, potato chips, cheez its, and grapes, among other things. It's absolutely hillarious to watch a cat try and eat a grape.

    Dogs don't like cats.

  9. My mom had a dog that loved cats. I think it grew up in a nursery (plant) and the mother cat had a litter. Well, anyway the dog was rather large (Black lab/Newfoundland mix) and it used to carry around the baby kittens in it's mouth. Then it would lay down, and the kittens would snuggle up next to him. Absolutely the sweetest thing you'll ever see. We got the dog because my mom knew the owner of the nursery, and she was moving and wanted the dog to have a loving home. He was the best dog we ever had, he would lay down in the living room and let us use him as a pillow when watching TV. He was very protective of my lil bro when he was an infant. BTW the dogs name was Solid, and the name fit quite well. Solid never learned to lift his leg when he relieved himself, that was always kinda funny. Solid lived for a long time, but passed away about 3 years ago from liver problems...actually we had to put him to sleep. We loved him so much that my mom had him cremated, and we have his ashes in a nice box on our mantle. Well, now I'm sad, but my point was that he carried kittens around and that was cute.

  18. at this point

Basset hounds have stolen my heart. They are just such lovable creatures, gentle, playful yet lazy, great with kids (children seem to respond much better to dogs that are shorter than they are and always seem to be smiling) and loving as can be.

Little dogs.. how annoying they must be. Have you mistakenly stepped on any of your animals?
