  1. Was good, no Spoilers but reminded me alot of American Indains.

  2. i concur...was definitely entertaining.

I'd recommend seeing it in 3D if possible - visuals were quite incredible.

I would consider seeing it again in theaters - not something I've ever really done much of.

I liked it for a visual movie, it did stand out.

But if anyone has ever seen the movie "Dune" then this to me is just a remake.

    EXACT same story line.

This looked like a $500 million movie. You want to see it in 3D and on the big screen. The technology isn't the story but it is about as seamless as you could want.

It's as close as you'll get to being on another planet, for at least a couple years.

    OMG, I am jealous Hamma.

I'll be curious if the graphics hold up at that scale.

This was not a movie it was a spectacle.

I have never seen anything quite like it, it is most certainly not a remake that is just silly and insulting frankly :D

I've never seen Dune, if I had I would likely say the same thing. I attend the movies to be entertained and this movie did that and more. I will most certainly be seeing it at least one more time in 3D and I have never gone to see a movie twice in a theatre.

Bottom line, if you have a chance to go see this movie see it regardless of what you have read anywhere. And if you can see it in IMAX 3D? Get there asap!!

If you strip this down strictly to the biology, Cameron has created the most interesting aliens since Alien, Predator or Sand People.

Yes he takes the culture down a human paleolithic hunter/gatherer path, but the subtlety he puts into the biology is fascinating.

One thing that got me were the night scenes. I keep hearing talking-heads saying bio-luminescence, however when I was watching I kept thinking that they were seeing the world in ultra-violet at night.

They are already talking sequel, of course, which makes me wonder what they will do. I had questions about the ending too that I can't ask without spoiling a little.

    hehe, yea.

Honestly I can't see how they would do a sequel but they have my money even if they do. Cameron has created quite an amazing world and an amazing alien race - I have never had my imagination sparked as much as I did with this movie and this world.

    Truly epic.

  15. Great movie, and if all goes well, which it appears it be, I read they have plans for 2 more in the works. Also, anyone remember "Dances with Wolves"?

I went to see it in 3D, and I loved it. Sure, the story was a little derivative of Dances With Wolves or Pocahontas or whatever (it actually reminds me a lot of one of Cameron's older movies, The Abyss), but most movies have pretty predictable stories. However, I see movies to escape from the daily grind for a couple of hours, have fun, and be entertained, and from that perspective, this was one of the better ones I've ever seen. I went back and saw it again the next day, and I never do that.

Made a date with the wife this Friday. Now just have to decide on which screen to see it; Imax or 3d?

IMAX 3D if at all possible :D

The 3D in it totally adds to the experience.

    3D. Both if possible.

The 3D isn't a gimmick where they toss crap at the screen, it adds a depth to the movie that you literally haven't ever seen.

The guy invented a new 3D technology to make the movie, you won't be disappointed.
