Gee.. who is this new guy? ;)

Thats right.. I'm Back. Got real nostalgic the other night and hooked up Tribes and found a whole BUTT load of recordings from back in the day, RA server CTF VS DND matches with Redleaf and FRG gang loads of TPH ( This Place Here) stuff. Even a few clan practices and impromptu matches Remember Beef vs all?

Anyhow I saw ya expand into LOTrO which is essentually my last hangout nowadays.. thought maybe I'd see if that was still a viable thing. But was just glad to see some familiar faces still with CDL.. Man I KNEW I shoulda went CDL with DesperadoAV and not KSA!

Anyhow, hope to hear rom some of you guys because I still have ALOT of demos from 2000-2004 that I havent even started looking at. Some faces come and gone too.

Hey hey! Indeed.. 10 years now since T2 came out and we all went in different directions.
Funny how things turn out.. I just happened to be farting around on LotrO for the past year on Crickhollow and saw someone with the name Valintyne and it got me to thinking about Tribes and CDL.. found my old installation disks and installed it, found a few CD's of demos and the memories just came flooding back.. all of us in there on This Place Here, Raging Angels server.. all sorts.

Got me to seeing if the site was still here and yep it is.. and now I see you play LotrO.. Maybe I'll pop over that server and make a new character and see if'n I can find anyone. It won't let me use any form of MAJERE which is a crapper.. so Probably a Timothas will be in the works.

BTW I found 2 Demos with Valin in it.. It was a scrim CDL and KSA had one day.. hes not very dominantly visible especially from JetLi's POV but I'll package'em up for u if u get me an e-mail address to send it to.

Heya Scrubbie! Hard to believe it is coming close to a decade since I was in TNP with you briefly.. and yeah Go for CDL.. If I knew then what I know now, I'd have never joined KSA thats for sure. DesperadoAV and I went separate ways and seems he made the smarter decision.

HHRRMM Planetside.. I remember playing beta for the first one and remember having to wait 10 minutes to transport only to be sniped as soon as I stepped outside.. after 2 days of that.. i kind of got realllly bored of it. Felt like Grif in Red vs Blue all the time.

I'll see about signing up and in fact check if my old planetside acct is still active ( much less remembering my PW) .

Good to see CDL is still going. Whodathunkit way back then huh? Looks good on yas.

I havent heard from Desperado since we played on Tribes to be honest. We kind of we're like a little 2-man team before we decided to Clan-up, but since then, not a word. My guess, he found himself a fly honey to dip it in and married her.


EDIT: Tried to install Planetside but it told me I MUST subscribe to play. So much for that. Aside from LotrO, I don't believe I can get into any other games CDL plays without paying subscription fees. I don't mind paying, but I won't pay FIRST and then get to play and try it out.

Any other games you guys hang out in?

 

So.. More or less, Real-Time strategy Online games are the CDL's forte'. No FPS's? I had BFBC2, but didnt get to try online because my car was stolen and it and the jewel case were in the dashboard. I could download it but no doubt would have to rebuy it to play online.

 

Have ya tried Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory? I know its almost as old as Tribes, but it IS still going and has loads of servers to play on. After Tribes, I went there and wound up being there from 2003 to last year.
Its also 100% free to play.

I just found a page where a whole bunch of Steam games are now Free to play for ALL. I've started with team Fortress 2 and Champions Online as well. The latter being extremely extensive in details. Enough to keep busy.

Ive been keeping VERY busy with Champions Online. Theres far too much to do to keep you busy there and its VERY immersive.
