This takes the cake for the saddest thing I've ever seen. It's about a couple of girls who decided to bake some cookies for their neighbors and ended up getting sued over it.

  2. that's about the most pathetic thing I've ever seen /me slaps the judge around with a large trout.

What pisses me off the most are the comments like the girls used "very poor judgement" and "I hope they learned a lesson"...... what lesson? Don't do anything nice for anyone?

  4. The lesson is, know who the crazies are in your neighborhood.

  5. From the article Young said she believes that the girls should not have been running from door to door late at night.

"Something bad could have happened to them," she said.

Indeed, say's I~! They could run afoul of an overly protective and insecure woman named "Wanita Renea Young" who, (according to The Durango Herald) lives off of County Road 214 in a rural area on the mesa south of Durango, and works as a cashier at the local Walmart. (Ahem. just thought I'd throw that in in case anyone was interested.) ;)

Has anyone contacted these girls? I'm sure that they just want to move on, but I'd appeal. I get the feeling that Ms. Wanita Renea Young, (does she truly need to have three names?), has a history of 'encounters'.

To note - (Also from the article) - "But Young, home with her own 18-year-old daughter and her elderly mother (I would suspect that the two girls go to school with the daughter. I wonder what does *she* would say about this?) said she saw shadowy figures who banged and banged at her door (They 'banged and banged' did they? Did any of the other neighbors state that these girls pounded incessantly?). When she called out, "Who's there?" no one answered. The figures ran off.

She thought perhaps they were burglars or some neighbors she had tangled with in the past, she said. (Hmmm.... Ms. Young has 'tangled' with neighbors in the past before eh? I wonder about what? I won't let my emotions run rampant here and state something juvenile like someone mowed her lawn for her and she thought it was someone trying to steal her valium. ;) But seriously - This woman *obviously* has issues. When all is said and done, I hope the girls will continue to be kind, and as for Ms. Young? Well...she might have to have a change in address."

Sound's like it's time for another edition of "Race's Story Time".

  17. She was.....like -
The woman was was absolutley LIVID~! She *refused* to enjoy the movie and just went into a complete "Accusing-Mode" afterwards. She went beyond complaining, defiling any semblance of pleasure she may have had out of the evenings festivities. (Well...I didn't really know her but short of snorting nasal apray - this could have been the highlight of her day~!)

If I had the cash on me I would have refunded her money and kicked her butt out the door.

    Sounds like fun times.

  19. As soon as we sat down behind her, the 4 us Pump his wife, my wife and me (of course) I knew we would have to deal with her before the night was ove. I think she would have complained if theater was empty becuase it would have been to quiet.

She accussed us of acting like 2 year olds, which might be true if enough adult beverages had been consumed but that was not the case. The wives had a little talk in a whispered tone and she spun around life she was Satan (which could be the case) and told them to be quiet and then never let it go. During the whole movie she would look back at us and shake her in some type of comment.

We talked through the credits, I was waiting for the green vomit, she was stewing so much. I really felt sorry for the lady who was with her who I thought was doing her best to enjoy the movie.

Some poeple need to live their lives.

I heard a local radio station helped raise enough money to cover the cost of this lawsuit so the girls don't have to pay it out of their pocket. Now that's a good thing!
