    I am going to host a LAN at my home the 1st weekend in February. (1st, 2nd, 3rd Fri, Sat, Sun) Details can be found here...

    Thanx for the open invite...however work has gotten me mentally thread-bare at the moment, and I plan on being comatose after the holidays. (Besides Oed and I just flew back home from New York after 3 days of celebritiy schmoozing & Real Hard Drinking on the job....)

    However; I might be in San Jose, CA March 19-23 for the CGDA.

    ...anybody (Dane) wanna try and hook up...???

    Thats why I'm throwing one at my house It's the only way I will ever get to one...hehehehe
    Two small kids-
    the wife aint gonna let me leave them with her but for so long And to those who might wanna come for a days worth of gaming. We have plenty of stuff for your younger kids to play on. A fort, swingset, tree swing, playhouse, etc.
    The wife is gonna go all out cooking (If you ever seen any of my pics on my site, notice the GUT!) so there will be plenty of good munchies. I have a pool table down here also for when ya quit for a break. A boob-tube, pingpong, darts, etc also.
    The only thing I'm worried about is my friends who are supposed to handle the technical end coming thru with enough of and the right equipment.

    I will be updating my site with info, lists of people who are coming, etc. And since its gonna be after the holidays, should be plenty of time for planning Hope I do see some of you nuts show up tho...

    I may try and make this one. If I can get Full Otto to go with me, it may just be feasible. I will also need to clear it with my lovely bride. But this sounds like fun. :)

    Okay, looks like it may be a "Go". Otto is going come up with me and we will probably be arriving there on that Friday evening. 45, I will probably get a hotel room for me and Otto. Once I make the reservations at the hotel I will let you know which one so you can get me driving directions to your house.

    Need me or Otto to bring anything besides our rigs? Food, equipment, etc?? Let us know...

    Sorry about the multiple posts here... I am a "GO!" Otto has pretty much guaranteed he will go.

    45 me and Otto will "stand up and hook up" probably Friday the 1st "landing" there that night. I plan on us staying in a local hotel. I will be making reservations here over the next few days. I will let you know where...

    Funny Mani,
    Your truck has 2 seats, my Vette has 2 seats. Add the equipment we will be bringing and we will be a little tight on space!!! Actually you have to drive, just getting my stuff into my car is not feasable really!!!!


    '45 what kind of equipment are you bringing (hub/switch wise?) I may be able to come up with a 24 port 10/100 switch to use but I have to check. That could cover most of the people there.
    Power is your next concern. Do you know what circuits your plugs run from? Need to kind of map that out ahead of time. I will be bringing a few extention cords (20' ones I believe) so we can map the power out. Also, I will be bringing a UPS (power outages are quite common at these outings!) for the switch and my rig.

    The guys I game with have hosted events as large as 50+ people so if you need some help, let us know.

    As fun as humping otto sounds, I don't think they would let me carry a 21" monitor on the plane :(

    I have that same problem when i go to LAN's in AZ. I can never bring my comp, but fortunately Neg has a spare that he let's me use :D
