Here is the lyrics to the album "Blood on Ice", a Saga by Bathory, written by Qourthon.

At the end (scroll down) Quorthon tells of the making not only of this album, but what he went through recording other Bathory albums. It is a long read, but if you really read it, you will see what a trooper he was to do what he has done (mind you, there are "dirty words" here and there).

He was never interested in being a celebrity, hence no live tours for the band. And not many interviews. Yes, it gave in to the mystery of the band, and some outrageous rumors, some even Quorthon couldn't believe, but he did what he wanted....he played his music. That's what he loved. And he loved his fans, as you will see if you read what he has to say.

Any out there that are in bands, you will be amazed at what he has accomplished.
