    What is with the recent trend of running rerunds in the middle of the season!?!?!?!!?!? Lost is like only show I go out of my way to make sure I have the time to watch, but a new episode comes once in a blue moon. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: I have heard it is called rebounds or something?!!?!? this is probably the stupidest thing ever! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

    lol seriously.... what the fudge?!?!!? So some ABC exec is sitting there and gets a bright idea.... hey lets play a new episode and then at the end let's show a preview stating "next time on lost".... make the preview look really interesting... and blamo show a repeat from 5 months ago and reap the advertising rewards......

    People should be filling the streets in protest.... where are the boycotts, the class action suits, the rioting?!?!!?

    That's what they want. They draw you in and then show you a rerun. I watch very little TV unless it has fast cars or Sci-Fi. Odd mix I know. :)

    good idea... but you are still giving these assclowns money..... I am tempted to just download the episodes..... if this is the crap they are going to pull. It is border line false advertising... "on the next lost" yeah right

    no wonder everyone seems to be losing interest, just about the time you get into it, they show some episode form ages ago. blah!!!! :mad: :mad: :mad: Hamma ban them!1!!1! ban them all!!

    That's really not a bad idea. I just hate doing that. Plus my hard drive space is pretty much at a premium. Gotta convince the wife that I do need a 400G Western Digital Hard drive....

    Donkey. I absolutely agree with you. I believe wholeheartedly in the "leave'em wanting more" aspect of entertainment...but the shows that are only giving you new episodes to draw out viewership over a long period of time leads me to a number of "possible" causes...none of them good:

    *The writers can not get scripts done in a timely manner.

    *The approve/disapprove writing aspect of the show leaves them with fewer scripts because agreement can't be made on the direction of the show.

    *More episodes means a bigger budget - less money in fat pockets.

    *Not enough people are making it known that they disapprove of this scheduling concept.


    My wife says they do this with Desperate Housewives and Invasion alot as well. I know it would annoy me all to hell where I wouldn't be interested in watching anymore so I feel your pain.

    Ya LOST and Ivasion were reruns and i dont know why???? Atleast Surface was new Monday.

    Heh, I've got 480 gig on my new machine.. :eek: So naturally i'd say download what you want.. After watching TV on DVDs now, I can't stand watching shows with comercials in the middle; that and having to wait a week (usually) between episodes..

    It never used to be like this right? As I recall.... in the good old days you had a premiere to start off the season... there would be a new episode each week until the finale.... then reruns in the summer.

    Yea that is something new they have started doing and it's lame. Not every network does it - FX seems to show the entire season without interuption or at least they did with Nip/Tuck

    They are running re-runs right now because they don't want to waste New episodes going up against American Idol and the Olympics.
