    I am without internet and TV for a couple weeks. I'm fine. Also I have no email.

    See Cox shut it off yesterday. Told me I hadn't paid my bill. Even though my checkbook shows I had. The customer service guy was a dick. So whether they got the payment or not was irrelevant at that point. I cancelled the service. No TV and no internet make Homer something something. OK I'm OK.

    So I had been thinking DSL and dish for a while. I should have done it a LONG time ago since with the same service level it is $60 a month CHEAPER.

    But I got no internet for a week and no TV until the 19th.

    OK I'm OK

    I got connection at work. And I got a laptop. So I can cruise the city for an unsecure web connection.

    After all I wanted to play HL2 all the way through again. Oh wait. I gotta have connection for that to launch.

    OK I'll play Prey again... Hardest level might kill 5 hours.

    Can someone keep me filled in on what happened on the Internet today?

    Duff is Semper Fi-ing in Korea
    Cyrus has been ranting about a vacation that most of us don't have the time to even take.
    Iffos and Jleen moved.
    Slammy is asking for favors.
    Ogame has been put on vacation
    Company of Heroes seems like fun.
    Testflight has changed the locks after the last "party boy" incident.
    Faithstrike is getting married.
    Orange hasn't been seen since July 18th.

    Lunar is bored.
    Migs is idling in the WoW forums.
    BD has been inundated with work and may have to be institutionalized.

    But to play any Steam game offline you still have to go online to register?

    I feel sorry for the Amazonians who cannot connect to the internet and want to play HL2.

    Tried last night in OL mode. It made a chuckle and wouldn't even run. Q4 did it too, but that wasn't nearly as much of a loss.

    I did get Steam to finally work in OL mode.

    However they will not get my interweb fixed until the 14th. At least I am at one of my favorite areas. The bridge that you climb across the bottom of.
