    So there I was playing Ghost Reacon last night when all of a sudden the room starts shaking and a few things fell over and I said over RW "Shit, it's an Earthquake! I got to get out of the house"

    It stoped shaking before I made it outside, and t wasn't really that bad of one, but damn they freak me out. You never know when one will just keep shaking.

    So I get back to the game and tell everyone there is no need to worry, it wasn't a bad earthquake and Arg replies "Oh, you meant in real life? We thought you meant there was one in the game"

    *sigh*

    What are friends for?

    Naw, it was just a small one. Things don't get really hairy until they get up around 6 or 7.

    When they start, you can't tell the diffrence between a 5, 6, 7, or even an 8. All you know is that the ground is shaking and stuff is falling over.

    The last place i want to be in a major earthquake is upstairs anywhere.

    Heck when this one started I first thought "Cool and Earthquake", then it really kicked in and I thought "RUN!!!!"

    lol I thought he meant in the game too...a tank was coming in and it was making the ground shake a bit...but then dane just kinda sat there while the tank virtually ran him over, lol

    aren't you supposed to brace yourself in the doorway in a earthquake situation? I didn't think it would be safe going out side. But hey! I live in Kansas......Ijust see it on the movies:p

    Not much call for Earthqukes in Minnesota Dane....
    And we haven't really had any snow on the ground since the first part of May.

    Yes, you are supposed to get into a doorway, because the door frame is one of the stronger parts of the building and will fall down last. You could also try to get under something like a table to keep things from falling on your head.

    How ever the safest place is out side, away from tall buildings, or poerlines, or anything else that might fall on your head.
