    I think there is more to the story than what is being listed. I doubt he'll be charged with anything.

    Sadly, because we weren't there to witness it first hand, there's no telling what kind of spin, if any, was put on this story. Shocking news sells.

    I've seen some pretty arrogant police officers who would probably do that kind of thing so it's possible. Could be the man screwed up ongoing rescue efforts by endangered his own life and police efforts had to be halted due to the risk.
