Came across this. Wondering if anyone else has used it. seems like a good deal, but I am wary of something that sounds "too good"

what do other people use? suggestions? I just want a few old songs now and then. Im not looking to build a library or anything.

I've been getting Napster for free from college, and it is quite nice. Although you must pay a monthly fee, a large amount of the library available you can listen to without having to buy the songs. You can download them to your computer and put them on your mp3 player (the format doesn't work with ipods though :( ). The downloaded songs will stop working once you subscription dies. I found it to be great for discovering new artists and genres that I have not heard of before.

If you find the subscription fee to be too high for the number of songs you want to listen to, then I would suggest you just use itunes.

  4. by reviewing the posts that rayzer left, I was able to download Limewire for free. Seems to work great.
