APB Fail Part II

    Copied from PSU forums.. I know a bunch of us bought it also so I wanted to double post it.

    Check this out:

    So the application you have on their site only grants you the possibility to get a "Key" which then allows you to apply to beta where you may or may not get a "Key" to actually beta the game.. :rofl:

    Then there is this gem:
    This means that people who PAID for the game the first time don't get into beta at all. Which means they will likley be required to BUY the game again (if they so choose..)

    People who bought the game = people who really wanted it too succeed and wanted to play it.

    people who didnt buy it - didn't plan on playing anyway.


    Pissing the people off who bought the game and not supporting them in anyway only adds salt to a festering wound of disgust from the game failing so quickly and not even keeping a server up.

    Not a good way to promote the game you just spent money on acquiring. I know they dont owe the original purchasers anything, but do you really want to start off promoting your game buy pissing off your most likely customers?

    Well it gives them a clean slate from which to develop from. No one screaming that this and that NEED to be in the next game. Dissolve the fan base and you're right back to when the game was someone's bright idea.

    well from what i read they won't have information like your credit card and how much subscription time you had left. However, they do still have your account login and and information about your character that last i read they plan to re-implement back into the game as best as they can.

    So why not just give away a bunch of RTW points (whatever those are) to the people who are going to keep you afloat with their own bodies?

    The entire thing is very odd.. they really should have emailed all the previous subscribers and invited them to beta by default.

    With PSN and B3 coming, I have absolutely no interest in this "revived" edition of APB. I can't see there being much of a change from the original concept to this one without a major overhaul. Somehow I don't see that happening. While the original was fun in a group of CDL, the flaws of the game where too much to reconsider the new one. My Amazing Carnac prediction.... this game will die an early death much like the like time.
