  1. Hey CDL, I saw the recruitment post on reddit and thought I'd see what you folks were all about!

    1) Main and Alternate Game Names:

Barkey usually. If Barkey is taken I have a joke name I like to use as an alternate, Aggressive Napkins.

    2) What game division will you be applying for?

Planetside 2. Ingame name is Barkey922, I'm TR on Waterson(Came from Jaeger)

    3) Are you at or over the age of 18?

    Yes, I'm 25.

    4) List your gaming history and experiences:

My earliest online gaming experiences were hotseat games of Master of Orion 2 with my dad, and being part of his Mechwarrior Clan using good ol' Roger Wilco.(I'm sure that brings some folks back)

I've played a lot of MMO's. I started with Ultima Online and Everquest, and I was really involved in Planetside 1(From Closed Beta to about two years into retail as TR on Markov.)

I've kind of drifted around since. I had a small group of friends that I played a lot with, but we sort of disbanded as real life demanded. More recently, I was playing a lot of Guild Wars 2 with some friends.

    5) What other guilds, clans or outfits you previously had or belong to or applied to?

I haven't really been part of any large and well known multi-gaming clans. The two small groups I've stuck with have gone by LoR and MoB in severl different games though. I'm currently an Officer in V1C1 in Planetside 2.

    6) If you answered (5), why did you leave that outfit or decide it was not what you were looking for if you applied to one?

The PS2 players in CDL have probably seen a lot of V1C1 from the outside. It's a good group of core people leading it, but I just want something a bit more personal and organized. I got tired of leading platoons full of people mic spamming or who just don't have a mic at all. It kind of falls on me as an Officer to take up the Platoon Leader or Squad Leader mantle since I play in the off hours, and I'm kind of tired of it. I'd like to have people who are coordinated enough to comprehend objectives beyond "Zerg the platoon waypoint!" all day.

Short Answer: I want something a bit more personal that involves less drifting pugs who don't talk or follow orders. While I'm a good leader, I prefer to follow and operate at the tactical level and not the strategic level.

    7) Tell us about your Real Life self:

I'm 25 and I live in Ventura County, in Southern California. I spent 4 years as active duty Air Force as a Security Forces member(Air Force equivalent to Military Police). I'm still serving as a Staff Sergeant in the Air National Guard, still as Security Forces. I have an associates in Counter-Terrorism studies, and I've almost got my Bachelors in Homeland Security through National University.

As a bit of a curve ball, I'm a Network Administrator as my civilian occupation. I've got my CCNA and Network+, and I work graveyard shifts for a managed services company maintaining network integrity and patch management for about 7000 workstations and almost 1000 servers.

As for hobbies, I'm an avid gun enthusiast(despite living in california...-grumble-) and I'm a certified firearms instructor, I teach handgun and long gun safety classes at a local range for free, and I do shooting fundamentals classes for a small fee. I also love to hike, camp, and hunt.

I like to think I'm funny as hell, but being an Army Brat from a Law Enforcement family with a background in Law Enforcement, my humor can be really dark and profane, so I tend to test the waters a lot with new people before my humor really presents itself. I say fuck a little more than I should. If I call someone a shitbird, it's a compliment.

As a cop I know perception is everything though, and it's very important to me to publicly represent organizations that I am a part of well, especially when it comes to joint operations with other organizations.

BONUS ROUND: I can curse people out in several languages, some of which I am semi-fluent in.

    8) Have you read and do you understand our Code of Conduct?

    Yep, seems reasonable enough.

    9) This is where you get creative. Respond to the following paragraph:

The CDL has a long history of steadfast teamwork, melded with an ingrained sense of family. What qualities do you think best exemplify the heart and soul of teamwork? What qualities do you possess that would make you a perfect fit for the Dragon Wolves? We're looking for someone with the heart of the Dragon Wolf, does that heartbeat inside of you?

Well, the Air Force always try to instill it's own 3 core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do. I believe that if you act with honor, put the mission first, and do the best you can, that you can fit in anywhere and accomplish most anything.
