    I am not sure. I have a vague recollection that it is a class oriented, somewhat simplified form of game along the lines of BFBC2. But, I know oh so little and could be wrong about even that.

    thats not bfbc2 or anything of the sort. Its undeniably and as far as everthing I see in the video Battlefield 2. In fact the map they show is karkand which is typically now days an infantry only map. Never had air on that particular map, but it can have vehicles such as a tanks and jeeps although most servers now days disable vehicles to make it infantry only. Anyways. I think what they are doing is basically opening up their BF2 game for the masses. They're not making money on it anymore, and it will stimulate a lot of interest in the franchise if they open it up for free.. Just my 2 cents on the whole thing.

    saw another video on this and they say its basically revised bf2 maps, but a mix of gameplay/class elements from other battlefield games including bf2bc.

    I played it for an hour or so. It is like BFBC2 with less detail, less control, more lag...

    Oh, I did get three or four knife kills. ;)
