    I've gotta admit, the jets in the Battlefield series games always seemed a bit out of place on such small maps..
    The only flying element of the series that seemed right was the WWII stuff, the kind of dogfights you could get into were amazing..

    Enough with the WWII games already though..

    I have always wished they would do a review of all the major battles of WWII and design the scenarios based on the realistic weather, supply, morale, and other critical issues out of which a battle is decided. Place them all in a game where you choose a side and see what would happen if you ran it differently.

    -- Battle of the Bulge: what if Pieper had run into a supply depot and hadn't had to abandon his Panzers.
    -- Midway: what if the Japanese had discovered the US carriers before they launched their air attack.
    -- The Eastern Front: what if Hitler had waited a bit more and secured the Eastern Front diplomatically.
    -- Battle of Britain: what if Operation Sea Lion had been carried out and was successful.

    Some board games did it and some turn-based PC games did too. But a real-time PC game that tried it? Yummy.

    That would be very interesting to try those games with those scenarios Manitou, Just to see how the events would turn out.

    Before I played Planetside with the CDL, BF1942 was the game I played (constantly!). My favourite maps were Coral Sea and Aberdeen. I'll definitely be looking into this!

    Also... have any seen this to come out this summer as well...

    Looks a lot like Team Fortress 2 but with vehicles and customizeable characters, and FREE!.
