BF3's December Patch

Following the tremendous uproar over DICE's previous patch, the studio is releasing a cumulative update for Back to Karkand, weighing in at roughly 2GB:

Unfortunately if you never purchased the DLC and don't want it, you're out of luck - apparently the studio hasn't quite figured out how to provide expansions for the game as optional downloads; making all content updates mandatory until further notice! However, they have stated they will be looking into this issue.

The maps for the DLC also won't be accessible before 13th Dec, due to another patch that will be required to complete its functionality. It hasn't been confirmed whether or not they have performed in this a rollback of netcode changes following the Nov 22nd patch, so we'll just have to see.

As a suggestion, I think we should move all the BF3 threads into their own section of the forums.
