Call Of Duty 5 Multiplayer Beta

    Apparently Fileplanet subs can 'reserve' a client, but its not clear that the subscription gets you priority on a key due to the fact that you have to register on the CoD site for one. I am in fact assuming that a key is not likely to be forthcoming, but I've not done any real further investigation.

    On the up side, the est. date available on the FP downloader indicates that the client won't be available until Jan. 01, 2040 so it would seem that there is plenty of time for people to get signed up.

    I "think" that this is only for the Xbox360 though, so us die hard PC-only FPSers have to sit this one out.

    There is in fact a PC multiplayer beta coming in addition to the 360 version.

    Well, 2040 came earlier this century than expected and the beta is now out. The install is available at:

    10. Planet Call of Duty
    11. ComputerGames.ro

    But you'll need to sign up at www.callofduty.com where it would appear that you should receive a beta key with fair promptness. If you aren't emailed your key right away, go to http://www.callofduty.com/profile/edit and your key should be listed there near the top.

    Haven't gotten to play but for a few minutes, so can't comment much so far.
