Yeah, that's the ticket.. Let me see, this is such a difficult choice:

    A) A 5" bluescreen that I can squint at and barely read, while frantically trying to scribble away 10 words a minute on a tiny little surface with a pen since I don't get a keyboard.

    B) A 21" monitor with 1024x764 res, 120 Hertz refresh, and a keyboard at 90 WPM.

Tough choice! Considering I get all of the features of (A) at only $1,000, and all of the features of (B) at under $900. I really am confused? Sit on my ass and get a ton of work done, or run all over the place with what amounts to a $1,000 paper notebook?

    Oh yea

would love to play tribes on that thing :D

  3. That is so 'tarded. I can understand the hype about the pocket pc's, but there is no way that they will replace the desktop anytime soon. Peeps thought the advent of the keyboard for the palm pilots would help to replace the pc - WRONG....

I agree with that. The fact that it can dock is good.

My husband is a developer of Home automation products and he was quite happy to see this little device.

We actually have a remote keyboard for our coffee table and a channel on our TV that we can see our home server on and control our home enviornment with. lighting, music, etc.

also this can be done with an internet cell phone or PC.

I can vouch for that. I tried to call Sky's house once and her garage door kept opening and shutting. :D

Atually, Brad gave out the password for our home network so his family could look at our pictures on there and we went through about a month of them playing around with the lights and music in our house.

His dad thought it was funny. :)

plams are ok but they are mostly for people who aren't at one place for a long time, It is good for example a doctor because he is called every second they have to write down phone numbers and so on.

He can retro fit his house right now.

It's easier if you ahve it done while the house is being built though.

i knew this guy from air products that has a system like what you said in his house. He can control the tempiture of the house from a computer lights and he put in cameras so he could see how his pets were doing. He also had a thing to turn the hot tub jets on.

We don't even have our house fully wired. We're going to retro fit it soon, only because Brad gets all the stuff from work and we need to try it out.

Brad has to do it himself though.

We hope to build a house and have it fully automated, but if the company foots the bill, we have to allow them to give tours of our home. :/

you can actually answer your front door from your cell phone, and let guests in. Pretty cool.

You can make sure you don't have a water leak in your vacation home.

You can clean the kitty litter box using your cell phone.

You can water your plants, even mow the lawn if you ahve a perfectly flat lawn and have programmed your battery powered lawn mower with the pattern of movement needed to cut the grass in your yard.
