Anyone familiar with the series on The History Channel has seen the commercials for this game. I'm going to give it a whirl after the latest episode; The Thunderbolts.

    You can download it here.

Yeah. Listening to some of the stories sends a chill up your spine. Like in the Thunderbolt show. A P-47 was a sitting duck to a German ace. After bleeding his guns dry, the German ace flew up alongside the P-47, wiggled its wings, and flew off. When the pilot landed his P-47 he started counting the bullet holes. When he got to 200 he looked up and saw that he hadn't even approached 1/4th of the aircraft. Now THAT is a story you don't hear these days.

My wife was saying the pilot of the P-47 was having a bad day. I countered and said he was having one HELL of a day. He should have died at least 40 times that day. Instead he cheated death. I'd consider that a good day.

Just goes to show the durability of the P47. From what I've seen in various shows on the Military Channel, the thing was a flying tank. Able to deal with a barrage of blows while spitting out a hail of lead much like the Avenger or Dauntless. It may not of had the agility to take on a ME109 or a FW190 but I wouldn't want to be one in the crosshairs of its gunsights.
