Dungeon Siege II

    Okay, in the history of gaming there have only been a few games that really overwhelmed me. Dungeon Siege was one of them. Quite a few of the CDL got heavily involved in this game when it came out and built very high level characters. I still play this game occasionally.

    Having said that, I want us to explore the next version, Dungeon Siege II. This game looks to threaten to steal me away from real life for a long time! Comments?? Here is a link:

    No release date as yet. The site says "holiday 2004" whatever that means.

    The frist one was a great game. Wolf lan could go get food and by the time we got back, most of us had a new level! The AI's grouping logic was insane. Only trouble was someone could fall asleep and you'd be talking at them for about an hour before you realized it. *coughs Wolf coughs*

    I love the game. Have not play the expansion yet and still trying to get through NWN. I'll fit it in somewhere someday. If I see anything at E3 about it I'll let you know.

    I was going to get this game because I am a big fan of Diablo, and that game looked very similar. However, I knew that because you could play offline and then bring that player online, there would be a ton of hacks. So I didn't get it. :(

    Once you bring a player online, you can't take it back offline. So the easiest thing to do is force everyone to start at level 1

    Dungeon Siege and Diablo have been the only games to keep my attention longer then a few weeks. Nothing was better then meeting up with Rustam, Vothweirdon, and Peacemaker (Charter) on a server and looking the new look they are sporting with a fiery cap or full chain.

    I met Mani playing Diablo 1 in 1996 playing on the internet while he was in Germany I believe. He would lag every now and then but if I remember it was a fairly pleasurable experience.

    Mani count me in on DS2 - Peacemaker and I are getting ready to startup with DS1 Expansion in the next few weeks if you are interested!

    Hell I may stop and get the Expansion then myself - would be a blast to play with some of the old school CDL'rs I've never been online with.

    I never got to play the first one with cdl'ers but I luved this game to. Me and friends would lan it for hours. And the single player game totally kicked. Haven't done the new expansion as there are currently to many other games sucking my life up but when II comes I would defintely like to hook up with everyone.
