Empire Earth!!!

I know Wasted, and Master play it, but has anyone else tried it?

What do you think?

I love it. It's everything I loved about CivII, and Starcraft all rolled into one game. It has a bit of a learning curve to it, but I think I am starting to get the hang of it.

The graphics are unreal. I had some serious Naval battles last night. It's great to see about 20 boats face off, with all the cannon balls flying around!!

Here a story of Triumph and Tradgedy.

I was playing against the computer and I just about had the Red guys beaten into Submission. I had been battleing them for and entire epoch. I'd build a Navy, follow it with a few transports full of Soliders and Cannons sail down to where they were and reap havoc. Well I started to run into a problem where I didn't have enough guys to finish the job, and every time I'd send renforcements they would have had time to rebuild.

I decided that i would really need to commit to the war effort if I was going to beat them. I built another Navy, and twice as many transports and loaded them with every unit I could. I had about 100 - 200 person attack force. This was to be the red guys last days.

I landed my forces across the island from their main base and started destroying everything in site. I moved my Navy into position and started hammering their sea ports and towers when all of a sudden..............they entered the Atomic age!!! Now as my armies rolled into town, I was facing bombers, and tanks!!!

My once mighty army of Calvery and Cannons was no match for them. They Quickly wiped out my attacking forces, and moved on my homeland. In a matter of minuts the game went from being decidely in my favor to drastically in the enemys favor. I was wiped out by my foes less then 30 min later.

I guess in this game you can never be too sure of yourself.

(Go buy it everyone. If you can run Tribes, you can run EE.)

 

What you don't know, is that a lot of them got the game after reading this. We talk about it all the time in the private forums. You have now given this thread life!!
