  2. I get that feeling from time to time...

I then implement the "grass is always greener" effect. How it works is - something or someone will really be getting me down and then I'll start thinking of people who really have it bad...and then *usually* my stuff doesn't seem so bad.

The bad things in life just remind you how much you appreciate the good things man. Life is a lot like a box of chocolates...usually some asshole gets there ahead of you and has already taken a bite out of each one. :D

If you need anything let me know.

Me too! What helps me keep things in perspective:

    1. There is no perfect gift. Don't try to buy one for someone, don't expect someone to suprise you with one. A gift is simply one person expressing to another that they care. One of the best gifts I ever received was a bunny rabbit pez dispenser because of the thought behind it.

For my 39th birthday, my husband got me a grilled cheese sandwich...now, this doesn't seem like much, but the man made dinner for me and I was hungry and it was a really good grilled cheese. I've had a lot of fun teasing him about it, too. We've all had many laughs over it.

    2. If you're stressed out over all the extra holiday stuff that has to be done, cut down on some things...so what if your second cousin's dog groomer's brother doesn't get a Christmas card from you this year. They probably won't even notice. Your neices and nephews will cherish a gift you sent them on their birthday much more than another gift on the pile under the tree.

    3. If you are feeling lonely, seek out the company of others. Enjoy the people around you.

    4. Keep your expectations realistic. Don't expect the Thomas Kinkaide christmas scene...it's all in his mind.

Laugh, be silly, have fun. And most of all, remember that we love you.

I had a link to a website about some sad christmas stories, now I'm saying this cuz I'm getting the feeling some of you were thinking that I was asking that question seeking some helpful advice.....

And the reason I editted this post was cuz I didn't wanna bring any feelings down.... epecially not at this time of year =]

so.... if any of you guys got any other impressions, this should clear things up
