Excel Macro Question

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Shynee, 15 Mar 2006.

  1. Hey everyone, I know I was kicked from the WOW side of CDL, and I am sorry for all that I might have offended, I was not intending on offending people. I hope I can atleast be able to talk to friends that I have made and offer my advice and opinions when available. I have actually come to a delema, and I know before when I ran into problems I was able to turn to CDL and ask, my question is......

I have a file for my business it contains several sheets and one master sheet.
Each "sub" sheet is for an individual community that i fix computers in. There are some specific cells on each sheet that are already automatically place into a master.

I need a macro (if it's possible) that will recognize when I change a date, so when this happens place it into the master sheet AND place it (and the associated data) into a separate sheet/report.

  2. Are the dates in the subsheets hard coded values or are they formulas based off the original date?

    For example:
For ease of explanation, lets assume that you put the date in cell A1 on all sheets involved.
Did you go to A1 on Master, Sub1, Sub2, Sub3..... and type the date in?
    or...
Did you Go to A1 on Master, type the date in, and then go to Sub1, Sub2, Sub3, and make A1 =Master!A1 ?
