Well, it is 5 minutes after I have left the guild, and access to the forum has already been removed, so I am posting here. I wish everyone the best, and thank you so much to the few that gave me a hand. Some of you want to know why I left, here it is...

I am tired of getting ran over in the guild. I feel that if you are not part of the clic, then you are ousted. I believe that a guild should exist for support, to help each other, and I feel that this was lacking. I believe that CDL had the greatest of intentions, but you can only take so much of getting ignored before it gets tiring.

For those of you who do not see this... you must be in the clic. Try this out, create a new character and not let anyone know who you are... see how responsive everyone is to you.

I have offered help to many of you, and will continue to, if you need something, look me up, you know I will continue to help.

    Best wishes,

    Anew

First of all, seems to me you could have /whispered to me your concerns. I missed your reply, otherwise I was in IF. Evilslayer, one of those "in the clic" I guess, was on his way to GIVE you a bag.

Do not judge this team in haste - these are good people and they have every one served with honor.

These issues were brought up via /tells. Last time I seriously brought this up was the flaws with the DKPS institution. People that weren't in the "clic" where invited to groups to participate in guild functions. People that weren't were not.. thus being left out from obtaining the points needed when they were able to participate in the guild runs for instances.

I raised this issue with both Nahola and you Mani. No solution was ever came to.

  4. You have made a total of 6 posts in these forums - obviously your concerns weren't expressed to any significant degree. Here we are trying to encourage participation, and you're actually sitting here telling me you were deliberately excluded? Give me a break.

I wish you luck in your next guild.

  5. Is there something wrong with the interval? Should someone have waited until next week? You left in a huff and somehow it is wrong to remove Guild Privileges?

Yes we are a clic. A rather large one at that. ;) The clic is the whole Guild. Often, I go out of my way to help new recruits, if for no other reason than to get to know them better and make them feel welcome and at home with us. Sadly, we do not get to everyone right away.

Had you been just a little more patient, you would have had your bag for free. At the time you asked , I was engaged with a couple mobs that, for some inexplicable reason, were very intent on relieving me of my existence.

Once they were vanquished, I was going to let you know to hang tight and come to IF. However, you left the guild.

I will not apologize for not letting myself get killed so I could let you know right away.

If this great group of people is not what you are looking for, then you are going to be very hard pressed indeed to find one to your liking.

  6. As far as cliques go, people who know people longer than others will tend to gravitate toward the ones that they know better. It's human nature.

But outside of that, I must have missed the "Clique", because I know that anytime I ran a DKP raid, I had to pull teeth to get people to go, and cancelled a couple raids because we hadn't enough -- so to be completely honest, I disagree with you there. But yeah, this guild has a history, and there are pre-existing friendships, but talking with other people in the guild in other capacities is really the best way to "fit in".

I wish I would have known you were having such a problem, but I guess I wasn't in your "you should know about my problem" group.

Perhaps you're right, though -- there may be a clique -- but the clique, as I see it, is the people who actively participate and and engage in communication with other guild members, even when they DONT need something. The more you want to talk and hang out, the more people know you, and the more you fit in.

The exception, of course, is Cyrus.

Best wishes as you venture forth.

If you were insinuating that I didn't chat unless I needed something, you are clearly uninformed. Ask around, I have helped numerous people in any fashion I could. I was there as support, to help in others instance runs, to throw gear that people needed. I have participated in chats, no not forums, but in /gu chats. The fact that you don't/didn't realize this.. clearly reinforced my point.

If only we had posted sign up threads for people who wanted to participate in the raids........ oh wait......

Regardless, the hole you have dug is already so deep I don't expect an apology, good luck with things.

  9. That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm suggesting that some people try to be a part of the group, and some are along for the ride. I was only in CDL for a few months before you were, but I made an effort to fit in because I like people and wanted to be feel like I was a part of a group.

And sometimes the group disappoints me -- sometimes I can't get what I want when I want it, and like you, I try to help others when I can... and you don't help people because its an obligation, but because you want to... so why shouldn't you hope to get the same? But it doesn't always work like that... and sometimes you get disappointed...

But you know what? I don't see it as a reason to leave, because I like the PEOPLE in this guild, because I got to know them... because I wanted to. I personally think that's the difference. Even though I love the game, and want to do stuff like high-level content, I want to do it with the people in THIS guild, because I have put in an effort to get to know them.

But hey, everyone has their own expectations, and mostly everyone has a limit of "BS" that they can take before they get fed up. Clearly you've hit yours.

Good luck in the future, and I hope you can find people that you can enjoy playing with.

  10. I appreciate you running me through Deadmines last week Anewname, it's sad to see you go because you did help a number of guildmates in WoW.

We are very approachable and I hope that if anyone has suggestions, issues or comments - that they can be discussed here before boiling points are reached.

Good luck to you and I hope to one day return the generous favor.

  11. You all love me.. admit it.. =P

  12. I choose not to group with Radi for a reason......he's always face down and very unproductive. :D

Good luck in your endeavors. I don't call that a good, solid reason to leave - God knows I got let down several times by delayed response times. What did I do (aside from bitching so much people told me to zip it)??? I put that problem aside and went to go find a new one I COULD solve or get further along on.

  13. Well Kaoz..I just don't respond well to "Hey I need the mud washed off the Redneck Wagon" or "Hey I need a refill - my beer class is half empty" (always the pessimist)

  14. I just started playing agian last night after about a 6 month or so break. i'm sorry that I didn't get to know you. I did send you a tell asking if you ment to leave the guild (my char is Jestie), I'm sorry I didn't follow up to see if you were ok. Your wife said you had done that so I just assumed that you were killing a toon or something.

People hang with people they know, but I"ve never heard of anyone having problems with not getting help. I was on my way to help a guildmate in un'gro at the time this was going on. This guild is geared toward helping people, you just have to give it some time for them to do so if you haven't already set it up before you hop on.

However I also think you should be a little more understanding as to why people just don't drop what they are doing right this second and buy you a bag. Which leads to the question why you didn't ask mig or someone who makes bags to send you one?

Well I hope you find what you are looking for.

I don't know the whole issue that has gone here because I have only been back for about a month. I am sorry to see any guild member leave, no matter if I knew them or not. My only question here is how many people you brought this issue up with? Just Nahola and Mani? No offense to Mani (<3) but he does not respond very well in game. He usually has other things he's in the middle of doing, or (understandably) has stepped away from his desk for a mere 2 minutes. I think that an issue like this should have been brought up on the forums, when Mani, and anyone else who would have been able to resolve this issue could have read it without having the distractions of in game situations. I just do not think an issue/problem will ever get settled in game. Unless of course everyone is sitting around at an inn drinking beer! But then you wouldn't be able to read what they were saying ;)

Anyway, I don't want to step on any toes or anything, just thought I would give my 'outsider' opinion. I've known Mani for 4-5 years now and he is 'not' the person to talk to in game about something that needs to be 'paid' a lot of attention to. Mani, no offense to you bro, not saying in the slightest that this is a bad thing, but like my bro once said, he was in the guild longer than me and I ended up getting to know everyone before he did, because I am a talker :D

  16. The simple fact of the matter as pan pointed out is that any issues in games like wow need to be addressed in the fourms. When your in a raid or just plain xping, you really have to pay attention to whats going on. If your a healer type this is all the more important, fact is that I miss / ignore alot of the green text I see because i'm trying to die myself, let others die or just making sure i'm using my cobo's correctly.

Anytime anyone feels upset about something going on or not going on bring it up in the fourms. If your affaird what other people will think, then just send a pm to one of the officers.

I usually invite myself to these things. I just log on, notice 8 people in one zone and then start PMing them for invite like mad till I find the weakest link!

There are times when I sign up as a latecomer for a raid on the forums, but I sure don't expect everyone to hold an empty spot for an hour just for me when there are people ready to play and I understand if they have reserved spots to meet class specific needs so say a warrior or a priest take priority.

Find the balance between self and team and know when to make a nusance of yourself!

Sorry to see you go, anewname. I wish you happiness wherever you find yourself.
