Finnally Got my New Convertable

    I have wanted one of these for the last 6 yrs and finnally got one.

    In short I was inches away from buying a brand new Civic Si with nav and the Honda HFP kit on it in Fuji blue, when that crooked salesman at Goodson Honda in Houston, threw me a price tag of $31K :eek: for a $22K car. I looked at him said "Dude I could buy an S2000 for that price" And I did but from nother dealer.

    All I can say is that if you ever want the feel of a porche boxster at half the price get one of these, this car freeking rocks.

    240HP for a 2.2L 4 Cylinder, w/o a turbo and Super charger, and to top it off its rear wheel drive. This car has been refered to as a motorcycle on 4 wheels.

    those cars are sweetness......hope mcdavid gave ya a good deal on it....use to work for goodson acura up here in dallas , ill have to talk to my friends that still work up there and see if its still owned by the same person

    Yep that one is mine, I have the MR (6 speed)

    It's a blast to drive as Im sure the S2000 is as well. Would be a fun run ;)

    Naw, it's a cool car. I love the instrument cluster. My mom has been looking for a convertable and despite my best efforts, she doesn't want the corvette. Maybe she'd like the S2000.


    Now you Hamma and I have to get a 3 lane race going on!

    As an avid Honda owner, I have to commend you on your purchase. I drive Accords mostly myself, as I am older with child now. Probably going to look at the Oddessey for my wife when its time for her to become a Soccer mom. I love my Accord though, no other car has treated me as good in my life. (On my second one now.)

    definetely a nice ride... wish i had 30 grand to buy a new car, my transmission is about to go up (damn previous owner neutral bombs.... grrr) so im looking for a new one, found a few, definetely wanna stay mitsubishi or nissan tho


    oh, and specs for stock 1/4 mile times....
    2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR - 13.3
    2006 Honda S2000 - 14.0

    almost a full second slower :p

    Those times are assuming you are at sea level and the conditions/driver are perfect. I live roughly 7000 feet above sea level and my track times suffer greatly :(

    See the wonder of the S2000, is that its one of the few if not only stock engine that puts out well over 100HP per liter W/O a turbo or supercharger. 237HP non turbo on a 4 banger stock is an incredible engineering feat.

    Not to mention it loks cool too :D
