Free iPods Experiment

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Strygun, 18 Mar 2007.

  1. Hey folks,

I'm sure you've all heard of the www.freeipods.com website that claims if you sign up for an offer and then get 5 other people to sign up, you get a free iPod. The subject came up in class the other day at my university, and my professor told me to prove it as a project.

So, I need help. I've already signed up and received credit for the offer I completed, but I need others to sign up and get credit as well. You can use false information and spam email addresses (just make sure it's an email address you can check. I created a gmail account).

If you're interested in helping me with this project for class, please post here or send me a PM. I don't want to post the referral link in the public forum because, according to the rules of the website, you're not supposed to mass-post it on message boards.

Please, if you have spare time and a spam-email address, help me out. I have to prove the classmates and professor wrong.

    Thanks

  2. i would be willing to help you

  3. blackice i've sent you a PM.

Anyone else interested in helping my project for class?

  4. Lol this looks like a spam message :p

  5. yeah I know.. that's one of the parts of my project. I've got to document all this stuff and prove it, etc etc. One of the issues I'm tackling is how hard the program is just to get the referrals.

  6. Just noticed something... for those of you leery of putting your credit card information out there (not all of the offers require this info, and others ask for it but don't charge until after a set trial date - you can cancel before this date) just go to www.paypal.com and create a virtual credit card. It ties back to your paypal account and is easily cancelled.

  7. bump... anyone else willing to help? I'll cover any costs you incur (if you choose the real cheap offers ;) )
