and I wonder....why would these individuals get such treatment and who are they? A coach? Obviously a (former)gamer? What purpose does he/she serve by helping them? Is there a new fad - a group of people starting an organization to help gamers? Similar to organizations for Entrepreneurs?

-I guess this seems like a lot to some, but (obviously) not to us or to anyone that is truly serious about on-line competition. Girls generally mature faster then boys but, who knows how long their friendships will last and/or if decisions must be made (i.e. quit gaming, etc….)

in closing (only because I'm not in the mood to pontificate (yes, I hear the sighs of releif)...did anyone else pick up on the closing innuendo?

the other day I showed my girl friend how to play Day of Defeat (A half life mod). She killed like two people. So last night after traffic court she goes to me "hey can we go back to your house and play that game? Ive been thinking about it all day and I want to do it again!"

Its kinda weird because she doesnt even understand what makes the game work.

 

C'mon....Would you coach them? How much would you charge a group of sweedish chicks that want YOU to coach them?

First off I can say and not get in trouble seeing as how I'm not attached It's just that they A)Are hawt B)Even hotter cause they play games (at least for me), and they aren't the first to have a "olympic training schedule" and a "coach", taiwan (or one of those other crazy asian countries) has had teams like that even ones dedicated to playing Soccer on the PC I mean come on a game about a game professionally, in one of the articles I read a while back had one of these pro gamers complaining about his 8 hour practice sessions and said "Man that must suck." then promptly sat down to a 15 hour gaming binge. I feel better now
