    NEW YORK (AP) -- All those years on the couch playing Nintendo and
    PlayStation appear to be paying off for surgeons. Researchers found that
    doctors who spent at least three hours a week playing video games made
    about 37 percent fewer mistakes in laparoscopic surgery and performed
    the task 27 percent faster than their counterparts who did not play
    video games.

    On a related topic, I definatly think that hardcore gamers have better eyesight, peripheral vision, and acuity. I seem to notice a lot more things that many people don't (usually slight movements or small details.)

    Well I have bad eye sight in one eye. Didn't need glasses till about a year after I started playing PC games hard core. :(

    I can believe that. I have better reaction and aim with everything, especcially paintball, thanks to my many years at counterstrike.

    Fo shizzle on both counts I noticed a change for a better in my reaction time in paintball after I started playing PC games more often

    Oh yeah and I saw this article on slashdot.org like yesterday so there queen :p and I would never trust anyone from CDL operating on me too much repressed hate towards me
