    This makes me sad.

  2. I wish AOL would go away. Most of the bad things that happen on the internet really happen on AOL.

  6. Google will start displaying graphic and video ads. Change google as it is? It already has! The text ads only tradition Google has is for a reason. They've stated before that they would never use graphic or video ads because they annoy them too.

  7. Google sunk the money into AOL to secure them for advertising. It isn't going to change Google, it is going to just shift some of AOL's ad dollars into Google's pockets.

Imagine the NCAA actually getting together a solid, reasonable way to crown a national champion in College Football. This might be the catalyst for it.

AOL/Google rep: You get a National Championship game together, and we'll sponsor it for 10 years.

NCAA rep: But we're concerned about the integrity of our student/athletes. We have a system in place. It's callled the Bowl Championship Series.

AOL/Google rep: Yeah, that BCS thing sucks. Here's $400 Billion reasons why it sucks.

NCAA rep: You know, I never looked at the BCS this way. You're right, it does suck.
