Grandmother's Operation

Discussion in 'General Open/Public Discussion' started by Aeternus, 26 Mar 2006.

  1. My grandmother of 93 years old is about to have a hip replacement surgery tomorrow. Due to other health issues - including an aneurysm - she only has a 60 percent chance of coming through. If she were not to have the operation she would soon be bed-ridden as her mobility is already severely limited. I'm posting just to ask that those who are prayerful people would remember her. Her name is Edythe Calhoun and will be going into the hospital tomorrow the 27th at 6am CST. She is the martriarch of our family, and while we all love her dearly, she has had a long life and should she pass we are ready as can be for that event.

For her to choose the surgery is a sign that she lives her life with hope and courage and that she's unwilling to settle for anything less than the best life has to offer. I wish the best for your family. <3

  4. My prayers and best wishes also!

  5. She's made the decision to go through with it and that shows how resolute she is. An awesome sign of strength.

We have high hopes and lend whatever strength is needed...

  6. She came through great and is in recovery. If she makes it through the next 24 hours without any complications (most likely blood clots) she'll have gotten through the worst. My family sends its thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

  7. It was our pleasure in doing so~!

    Glad things are progressing forward~!

  8. Just wanted to check~

How is your grandmother doing? I hope she has rested well and is recovering without problems.

  9. She is still in the hospital going through some initial rehab and recovery. Her first day was pretty good, but she's starting to have some trouble with her pain medication... Hopefully its nothing major. Thanks for your concern. I'll keep ya'll posted.

  10. Prayers for the healing process and your family
