Guess I'm not gonna try to apply after all...

    Okay, I talked to Manitou, and TB, and they said "Group w/ us for a while and we'll see" yet, I /tell the group leader, who I will not name, say "Got a spot open in squad?" No answer, so I say "Hello? You there?" no answer, I wait a few minute "Hey, you there?" This player is currently ignoring you.

    Wow. Great first impression. Just wow. I don't want to join a clan that 1/2 the people ignore me when I don't even know who they are, and I ask for group. Bye.

    I'm sorry to hear that Dharkbayne. I'm sure it was a misunderstanding - This clan is the most easy going and open minded group of individuals I have ever met. My advice to you is to private message that individual and ask for an explanation. I'm sure there was a reason.
    Unfortunately there are two sides to every story. Good luck to you.

    If the squad leader is currently involved in a mission it may be some time before he answers you. I know for myself I barely watch chat when I am trying to:

    a) guide my troops
    b) kill enemy
    c) drive a vehicle
    d) and hot drop on a tower

    ...all the while directing the members of my squad and maybe the whole platoon. Just be patient - if the wait doesn't seem worth it, maybe you might want to consider another team? Some recruits have waited 4 months to be selected. Just some info to consider. :)

    Only people I ever put on ignore are those that taunt me in tells which I don't believe you've done. Now IRC may be a different story but in-game I have only a few that are on the ingore side and for the reason I just stated. Heck I rarely am a Squad Leader as is these days.

    It can get pretty difficult to manage tells and what-not when you're in critical situations...

    I remember once I sat there for a good solid 5 minutes spamming Mani once to hook me up with a squad.. :p

    There is NO excuse for a leader to ignore his troops. :p (j/k!)

    I wonder if police cruisers have the interweb.. hmm

    *shrugs*

    Keep trying Dhark, there have been some people that used to have to wait 6 months before joining (back in t1/t2)... but it's worth it. :)
