Happy 4th All

Remember the birth of our country and what it took to accomplish.

 

Wooohooo!!

 

You'll laugh at this. I'm still working a full-time job in addition to my side business. We have a branch in London that we communicate with weekly.

Just before the 4th weekend we are having our weekly conference call with them. My boss Jim asks the Brits in complete seriousness, "So what are you guys doing for the Fourth of July?"

Dead silence for a moment, as I'm sure the Brits are looking at each other in confusion, "What's the Fourth of July?"

My boss, still clueless, "You know, Independence Day."

The Brits still not sure if they are having their legs pulled, "I'm not sure that's on our calendar."

Finally I ask, "Exactly who are we celebrating our independence from Jim?"

My boss, "You know the British.... Oh."

Me, "I think the UK has a different name for it. They call it Empire Shrinking Day or Damn Colonials Day."

At this point our UK office is erupting in laughter and Jim shows he can have a sense of humor.
