    Timely, and sadly enough, necessary.

  4. At a loss for words. That was one of the best things I have EVER seen on the net.

  5. interestingly enough, I think none of those quotes pertain to the current government of today. Infact I, I think our founding fathers would be rather dismayed if they could see the power of today's government. It is not what was envisioned, in my opinion.
    Fling :D

  6. I can honestly say that day was the only one I've ever sat down and watched the news in utter shock and silence.

And the only time I ever had tears caused by the news.

Lest we not forget one group of the heroes that seem to get overlooked more often than not - the same group that helped with the OKC Federal Building bombing - the Canines. They can't speak but if they could, good Lord I can just imagine they'd be as overwhelmed and emotionally drained as the rest of the heroes.

I believe it was Mijahu who spoke about going in as a fireman, helping pull dead bodies from the rubble and the horrible nightmares he had for a long time afterward.

Fling, those quotes do apply today. Perhaps our government has grown bigger and more powerful than originally envisioned, but my children don't deserve to be hunted down simply because they're Americans. You don't have kids yet, so you don't understand what it's like to consider the mess you're leaving behind for them when they grow up.

Very sad reminded me a lot about coming home early that day my freshman year and coming home and falling asleep on the couch I was so emotionally drained.

I could right a whole book on what I thing about our government (no I would not be flaming the government) so I wont even begin to post it here

  11. There are *SO MANY* items that inspire the heart. From Lyics -

    Lee Greenwood -
And I'm PROUD to be an American where as least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I'd gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today...

    Charlie Daniels
And we may have done a little bit of fighting amongst ourselves
But you outside people best leave us alone
Cause we'll all stick together and you can take that to the bank

I have words and poetry of my own, but I belive that these are enough.

There are not enough words to thank the men and women who keep this country free. There are actions that will; my children will understand the cost of freedom. In this way I can show my thanks, rather than type it.
