Hey Sterl whats up with UR2

    Man I got a hold of that game today seems alot of peeps are having issues with it including me. I looked on the forums over there and saw nothign representing my issues.

    I load this game up it says initialinzing and then goes back to my desktop.

    This PC is a band spanken new Dell here at work, we dont have an MIS dept so I know its not Admin issues.

    I am thinking it has somthing to do withthis POS vid card in the machine 128 ATI rage grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

    Any help or suggestions would be appricitaed if ya know of any bro

    it's going to be that Rage 128 card, those things are older (or mabye just as old?) than the original Geforce cards.

    Indeed it was,

    Got the game going, nice graphics game play is ok, id love to of seen a change. But this will do till http://www.lo-mac.com comes out :)

    We've got tons of those Rage 128's at work.... bery old... but most of what we have is 5-3 yr old systems, so everything in them is old. Hehe... we went to winXP on some systems in one lab... With the OS and OfficeXP, the whopping 4 GB HD was basically maxed out with only those and a few small (< 20 MB) educational apps on them.

    Talk about lame systems

    (I do puter tech stuff at a local school district part time while finishing college)

    I hate to join the band-wagon, but I'd hazard a guess @ your VCD as well.
    The game is geared for the Nvidia chipset (as you may have guessed by the intro in UT2K3).
    Also it requires a MINUMUM of a Pentium = 1.2G machine....
    (Which is what I have here @ home, so it 'chugs' along @ 7 FPS. I've uninstalled it)....

    Just out of curisoty, go on-line, update your drivers, and then run DxDiag.

    I'll take a look and snoop about troubles but I can't promise anything...
