    my asus board has a back up bios in case I screw up with one

    i somehow overwrote the backup bios with an incorrect version and them proceeded to update with an incorrect version...all using a windows utility from gigabyte.

    there is a distinct difference between 8knxp and 8knnxp

  5. Use the auto-updater from Asus (if you have an asus board). That's what I did.

  7. We had nothing but problems where I work with gigabyte boards.

    Stry - how do you set that up? I've got an older Asus board (P4S8X).

    Mine came on the disc with all the drivers and crap (the ASUS auto-updater and crap) but I assume it can be found on ASUS' website
