    They didn't bail, the prerequisites were not meant for them to give it away. Last time you could enter also buy making a new pledge to the game and posting the proof and the value of all the new pledges had to exceed a set value (don't remember the number) it was not meant so they did not offer it up as a prize.


    This time around they are only allowing 1 entry per user via replies (since people tried to game the system before) and there is no prerequisite for the Idris prize. This is the 3rd contest I have seen them throw and they have kept their word everytime.


    Anyways the contest is open till May 11th when they do the drawing.

    Hopefully we won't have the same bollocks as with the last competition - due to horrendous issues picking a winner they changed it halfway through, only allowing entrants who had pledged before they announced it in addition to purchasing another ship :mad:

    yeah this one is really taking off faster then the last couple, but we have several thousand more backers then we did for the last drawing.

    well the drawing is today, but sadly the Idris can not be issued as a prize due to the new gifting rules put into place by CIG (The Idris was bought on store credit and ineligible for gifting) so the grand-prize has been replaced with a $1055 gift card, second prize with $250 gift card, and third prize is still a $75 card.

    So get ready for a shit storm on the already poop filled waters that is the Offical Star Citizen Public Forums

    I think Icarus needs to sort out their organisation; messing up a contest once with such an expensive prize is one thing, but doing it twice will have stained any credibility the group has with the community.

    Entering a third time would be a farce for many players.

    They didn't mess it up CIG changed the gifting rules after the contest started, and if you paid attention to Nacht's post right above yours you would have seen they got it sorted and gifted the Idris to the winner.
