I'll wait to rent this one.

This has been rumored for a long time (the whole ash part). I sure hope it goes through. Sam Raimi + Ash (Bruce Campbell) + anything else (I can put up with the whole freddy/jason thing) = YES!

*edit - opps, I didn't read the whole article If Sam isn't going to direct..... nevermind. Don't get me wrong, I would still love to see Ash in it, I just don't want the character to be thrown into some poorly written, poorly directed crap script.

The Evil Dead trilogy is one of my alltime favs..."It's a trick get an axe!" to him fighting his own hand in that haunted shack.

I was :bored: too when I first saw the Jason vs Freddy II (although I did enjoy it as a rental) the mention of Ash brought it to a whole new level!

 

Evil Dead 2 is my all time fav moive. If they were to make any moive that had the charecter Ash in it you can guarentee that I'd be there on opening night.

For anyone thats a fan of Bruce Campbell and B grade horror, you should check out the moive "Bubba Ho-Tep" great little low budget film that was directed by Don Coscarelli (of Phantasam fame), and stars Bruce. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

 

As long as ash wins, and dosent get sodomized by the script, i am SO there, despite the freddy and jason crap.

 

I've read about that as well and the rumor popped early last year.
I'll see it just because I love watching Ash smart off to someone.
