They all bitch about something.

People get all pissed off when we are dueling, I happen to ski down a hill away from them, they jump to come after me, I whip out my sniper rifle and take em out the air.

I get, "I hate people who duel with sniper rifles."

Personally I thought the point was to kill the other guy, KO, if you can run away from a guy until he runs out of ammo, that is a r33t strat. People just don't want you to be creative.

 

You're not dueling if your using a sniper rifle. You're running like a coward then turning around and shooting them. Dueling is about disk launchers, chainguns, and all close range weapons.. even the mag gun ugh! The point is to duel with them not to go run into a hill and bust out a sniper rifle.

I understand why people do it. The sniper rifle is a very adictive weapon and there is nothing like having someone chase you then turning around and killing them in mid air and watching their body hit the ground dead. Personally I used to laugh my ass off about that. But it just isn't right to use a sniper rifle in a duel. A good dueler should be able to stay close to their opponent and still be able to win.

i suppose i could complain, but i suck at dueling, or anythin tribes related for that matter..........so i dont complain, but i can see your point, fars as i'm concerned, anything goes

 

Bah, that BS. Dueling is about killing the other person. Its like war, you do what you have to to win. why tf would I just stand there and let someone I know is better than me with a chaingun win? Dueling is not only about who has the bigger ballz, its about strategy and tactics just like matches are.

Standing there and dieing because you refused to use your head only shows that you are stupid not fearless. Everybody needs to play to their strengths, if the die hard chainers and discers want to whine about people use differents strategies they can leave.

 

I am the world's WORST dueler. I think anyone in the CDL would agree to that! But I do have an opinion here...

What is the goal in dueling? Well, the process is two guys in a fight trying to kill the other and win the contest, correct?

Okay, to accomplish this you must kill the other guy. I don't know the rules in the Dueling League, but I don't think I am too far off when I say they go something like this:

"Make the other guy die. When he does, you win. If you die, he wins."

Now, in my mind, if I can kill the guy by picking up a rock on the ground and bashing his skull in, thereby killing him, I win. I know the possibility of picking up a rock in T2 is silly, but I hope my point isn't!

KO, if anyone ever tells you that, just reply with "strategy my friend....strategy" there is NO rule saying you can't fall back to get another shot set up...if you are constantly flying away (meaning running like it was a race to get to the other side of the map before your opponent did) then I would understand why they would say that...but I know you don't do that, if you are constantly near them, they will just CG you, I agree on that...I personally think CG is lame in a duel...unless you are:

1.) out of discs

2.) your opponent has a sliver of life left not even worth taking out with a disc

But of course people have to use the CG from the start and get you down to 25% health, then finish you with a disc when you hit the ground...newbies for instance...they chase you around with a CG in duel about 99.9% of the time...which is lame

I personally think CG should ONLY be used to finish someone off...not to take away enough health to get an advantage over them

Shouldn't be based on how fast you try to accomplish your goal...in a duel the object is to complete your goal. Win.
Time is not an issue and those that complain only show their lack of experience in the politics of battle. Impatience can be a achillies heel to some.
